Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Sharma, Director of Vidya Vihar Institute of Technology (VVIT), is a distinguished academician with over 30 years of experience in the field of engineering and education. He earned his Ph.D. from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, showcasing his dedication to advanced research and academic excellence. His educational journey began with a B.Sc. Engineering degree from Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE), Bhagalpur, in 1980, followed by an M.Sc. Engineering degree from B. R. Ambedkar University. Throughout his career, Dr. Sharma has contributed significantly to the academic and institutional development of engineering education, fostering innovation, research, and professional excellence among students and faculty alike. His leadership continues to drive VVIT towards greater academic achievements and industry collaborations.
We have put in all our wisdom, energy and resources in raising VVIT as per the guidelines provided by AICTE. VVIT is visualized to be a pioneering piece of services to the society, raised in union of efforts under the moral command of Shri K. N. Vasudevan, Director VVRS (Ex Principal Netarhat Vidyalaya) in the vanguard. Following the footsteps, Shri Ramesh Chandra Mishra, Chairman, Vidya Vihar Educational Trust (VVET), an alumnus of Netarhat Vidyalaya and distinguished marketing icon moved ahead with life time resources. We are equally fortunate to have Shri Ranjit Kumar Paul, M.Tech (Industrial Engineering & Management, ISM Dhanbad, 1978) with working experience in industries at Bhilai Steel Plant (10 years), BCCL (24years), CIL (HR) as CGM (HRD) for 2 years and Bharat Heavy Industries Corporation, Kolkata as Executive Director for 2 years as chief Co-ordinator (Administration).

Research is an integral part of formal education. In today’s competitive global scenario, it is essential to inculcate research culture and habits amongst students and faculty. The faculty and students are encouraged to work on state of art research projects, carry out expert consultancy work, create wealth of knowledge by filing patents, create a multidisciplinary work environment, work with a professional and scientific approach, and have a healthy competition amongst peer groups to achieve excellence.
Apart from academics other activities like sports, cultural, extracurricular and social are equally important to boost their confidence, improve communication/presentation skill, build team spirit, inculcate sportsmanship, leadership quality and decision making ability.
